Sex Hormones

Kisspeptin

Kisspeptin acts as the proto-sex hormone — it is produced in the hypothalamus and stimulates the reaction that leads to the production of testosterone and estrogen. While it is mostly involved in the manufacturing of hormones necessary for fertility, it can also help prevent the spread of cancer. While Kisspeptin has no known direct effects on skin, problems with this hormone can lead to imbalances in estrogen.
