Hormone Health Awareness Month Mission

Our Mission

Not too long ago, in a single generation, the lives of women underwent a remarkable transformation. Women who started families in the 1950s generally stayed home to raise their children; while their daughters chose to do the complete opposite. With liberation and independence came a circus-like rotation of mother, sister, wife, breadwinner, entrepreneur, and more. We’re expected to show up and perform; it’s no small feat – and the stress of it impacts our hormones.

Not only this, but in the past few decades, endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) have risen from a position of total obscurity, to becoming a focus of dialogue, debate, and concern among scientists, physicians, regulators, and the public.

Between the responsibilities of modern life and the EDCs we breathe, consume, and are exposed to on a daily basis – finding balance hormonal and otherwise can be a challenge.

Hormone Health Awareness Month is dedicated to raising awareness about how to care for our hormones and the far reaching impact hormonal imbalance can have on our health.

Together we can shed light on hormone health, promote inclusive research, share our stories, and change the narrative of what it means to be “hormonal.”

#BalancingYourHormones

Hormones are at the root of nearly every aspect of health. Yet, we are experiencing a
hormonal health crisis due to lack of awareness around hormones and their impact on our overall health.

  • Hormones drive all major bodily functions and systems, including skin health, fertility, mood and mental health, metabolism, sleep, stress, sexual health, and even heart health.

  • 80% of women will experience a hormonal imbalance.

  • Hormonal disorders are on the rise with at least 1 in 10 women diagnosed with PCOS and 25% of women suffering thyroid issues.

  • 83% of skin conditions (like acne, sensitivity, dryness, and rosacea) are driven by hormone issues.

  • Women on average suffer from at least 5 symptoms — ranging from acne to vaginal dryness and brain fog — that are caused by hormonal imbalances.
