Luteinizing Hormone (LH)

Also known as lutropin, the luteinizing hormone is strictly dedicated to ovulation. Levels of lutropin quickly rise and fall around day 14 of every menstrual cycle in a process that signals to the ovaries that it’s time to release an egg. LH may only have a brief moment to shine, but it plays an important role in healthy reproductive functioning, though its effects on health beyond that have not been extensively studied.
