CLINICAL STUDY 1

Summary: A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study that assessed the effects of a combination of hibiscus and lemon verbena extracts in overweight/obese subjects. 

Participants: 55 women studied over the course of 2 months found no adverse side effects.

CLINICAL STUDY 2

Summary: A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study that assessed the effects of hibiscus and lemon verbena extracts on appetite-related biomarkers in overweight subjects. 

Participants: 54 women studied over the course of 2 months found no adverse side effects.

CLINICAL STUDY 3

Summary: A double-blind, placebo-controlled study to determine the effectiveness of hibiscus and lemon verbena extracts in the reduction of body fat mass in healthy subjects. 

Participants: 84 subjects studied over the course of 12 weeks. No dietary changes were made.

CLINICAL STUDY 4

Summary: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to determine the effectiveness of hibiscus and lemon verbena extracts for reducing blood pressure in pre-hypertensive and type 1 hypertensive subjects.

Participants: 80 prehypertensive or type 1 hypertensive subjects, male and female between the ages of 18-65 were studied over the course of 84 days.

CLINICAL STUDY 5  

Summary: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to determine the effects of Metabolaid on pre- and stage 1 hypertensive patients.

Participants: 84 pre-hypertensive and early stage 1 hypertensive patients were studied over the course of 6 weeks.

CLINICAL STUDY 6

Summary: A randomized, double-blind, cross-over, placebo-controlled study to determine the effectiveness of the polyphenolic extract, hibiscus and lemon verbena, on appetite regulation in overweight or obese grade 1 subjects.

Participants: 33 overweight or obese subjects (36 participated, 33 were included in analysis) both male and female, ages 18-65, were studied over the course of 150 days (divided into two 60 day periods, separated by a 30-day wash out period).

Summary: This study involved the inclusion of a mobile app with daily reminders and healthy lifestyle recommendations in addition to a wearable fitness device and dietary supplement, Metabolaid.

Participants: 37 subjects, over the age of 18 were studied from September 2020 to April 2021.

Summary: A double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluating the effects of a botanical blend of lemon verbena and hibiscus extracts on weight management, body fat, and appetite in overweight individuals over 90 days.

Participants: A total of 61 overweight participants (33 men and 28 women, ages 30-50).
