Benzoyl peroxide is a tried and tested organic, anti-acne treatment. It works by releasing oxygen upon contact with the skin, which kills bacteria and other intruders that cause acne. Benzoyl peroxide penetrates deep within pores to help fight current and future breakouts without disrupting the skin’s good bacteria and healthy microbiome. We exclude this ingredient because one study demonstrates the potential for endocrine disruption with repeated exposure, and it has not yet been established as safe for use during pregnancy.
